Asennussarja Noctua NM-AM5/4-MP83 CHROMAX.musta AM4 AM5

The Noctua NM-AM5/4-MP83 CHROMAX.BLACK is a SecuFirm2™ mounting upgrade kit that enables Noctua CPU coolers with an 83mm mounting pitch to be fitted to AMD AM5 and AM4 sockets. The kit uses the standard AMD backplate and features all-black mounting bars and thumb screws to match chromax.black coolers while preserving the proven SecuFirm2™ quality, contact pressure control and long-term stability.

Advantages

The kit provides reliable and precise contact pressure via high-grade coil springs, reduces installation waste by using the stock AMD backplate, and offers tailored compatibility for AM5/AM4 sockets to avoid cross-platform issues. The chromax.black finish keeps a uniform all-black look for compatible Noctua coolers and the SecuFirm2™ design supports long-term reuse across multiple CPU generations.

Suitable for

• Noctua CPU coolers with 83mm mounting pitch
• Systems using AMD AM5 or AM4 sockets
• Users who want to upgrade existing Noctua coolers to newer AMD platforms

Key specifications

• Model: NM-AM5/4-MP83 CHROMAX.BLACK
• Compatible sockets: AMD AM5, AM4
• Mounting pitch: 83 mm
• Finish: chromax.black (all-black mounting bars and thumb screws)
• Mounting system: SecuFirm2™ (uses standard AMD backplate)
• MPN/EAN: NM-AM5/4-MP83 CH.BK. / 9010018201352

How to use

Refer to Noctua’s detailed compatibility list to confirm your cooler uses an 83mm mounting pitch. Install the kit using the motherboard’s pre-installed AMD stock backplate: attach the chromax.black mounting bars and secure them with the supplied thumb screws and springs according to the SecuFirm2™ instructions. Tighten screws evenly until the coil springs compress to achieve proper contact pressure; avoid over-torquing.

Recommendations

Use this kit only with Noctua coolers that specify an 83mm mounting pitch. For heatsinks with a 78mm pitch, select the MP78 variant. Keep the original AMD backplate installed and follow the manufacturer’s compatibility guide to ensure correct fit and long-term stability.
