The ATEN CL1000M-ATA-GG is a 1U rack-mount console featuring a 17" (43.2 cm) LED-backlit LCD panel, an integrated German QWERTZ keyboard and a built-in PS/2 touchpad-style mouse. Designed to serve as the front-end console for existing KVM switches or direct server access, the unit fits into a standard 19" rack and slides away when not in use, conserving space in server cabinets and data centres. It accepts VGA video input and is compatible with standard operating systems including FreeBSD for typical server management tasks. Typical power consumption is 16 W with an input current of 1 A.

Advantages

The CL1000M-ATA-GG combines a compact 1U form factor with a complete integrated console (LCD, keyboard and PS/2 mouse) to reduce the need for separate peripherals and save rack space. Its Slideaway housing protects the display and keyboard when stored and simplifies access to servers in confined cabinet environments. VGA video input and broad OS compatibility provide straightforward connectivity to a wide range of legacy and current servers.

Suitable for

• Server cabinets and rack-mounted IT equipment access
• Data centres requiring space-efficient console solutions
• Environments using PS/2 keyboard and mouse interfaces
• Systems that accept VGA video input

Recommendations

If your infrastructure uses modern USB-only servers, consider available PS/2-to-USB adapters at the server end to maintain compatibility; verify adapter support for your operating system before deployment.
