The Alessi Nuovo Milano flatware set, designed by Ettore Sottsass and winner of the XVI Compasso d'oro, features smooth, rounded shapes inspired by the designer's intention for tableware to be "smooth as an ocean rock." This set is made of 18/10 stainless steel with a mirror-polished finish and offers durable, everyday-ready utensils with a refined modern appearance.

Advantages

The 18/10 stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance and long-lasting durability while the mirror polish gives a consistent, reflective surface that is easy to clean. The monobloc knives ensure structural integrity and a seamless look across the collection. The design combines ergonomic contours with a compact, timeless silhouette that fits both casual and formal table settings.

Recommendations

To maintain the mirror-polished surface and prevent marks, wash cutlery soon after use, avoid abrasive cleaners or steel wool, and dry immediately with a soft cloth. Although suitable for dishwasher use, hand washing is recommended to extend the finish and preserve the set’s appearance over time.
