Barebone Edge -palvelin GIGABYTE E163-Z34-AAH1 (Rev. 3.x) 1U Single Socket SP5

The GIGABYTE E163-Z34-AAH1 (Rev. 3.x) 1U Barebone Edge Server is a compact chassis platform engineered for single-socket SP5 processors. Designed for rack deployment, the barebone includes the chassis, cooling system, power distribution and I/O layout required for edge computing, network appliances and small-scale data center installations. It is supplied for system integrators and technicians to install a compatible CPU, memory modules, storage devices and operating system to assemble a custom edge server.

Advantages

This 1U barebone provides a space-efficient form factor that balances high-density rack integration with accessible internal layout for component installation. The chassis architecture supports optimized airflow and thermal management suitable for continuous operation in constrained rack environments. Built-in I/O and rear-panel interfaces are arranged to simplify network and peripheral connectivity during system assembly and deployment.

Suitable for

• Edge computing nodes for distributed processing and low-latency applications
• Network appliances such as firewalls, VPN gateways and routers
• Compact rack-mounted servers for branch offices and micro data centers
• System integrator projects requiring customized hardware configurations

Key specifications

• Form factor: 1U rack-mount chassis designed for single-socket SP5 processors
• Internal layout: space for CPU, multiple memory modules and storage devices with front/rear cabling paths
• Cooling: chassis-integrated fans and airflow channels for efficient thermal management in 1U height
• I/O: rear and onboard connectors arranged for network, management and peripheral interfaces
• Power: internal power distribution and mounting provisions for standard server power units
• Serviceability: accessible internal layout to facilitate installation and replacement of components

How to use

Install a compatible SP5 single-socket processor into the motherboard socket following the motherboard manufacturer’s installation instructions, then populate the memory slots with supported DIMMs. Mount storage devices in the provided bays or drive brackets and connect required power and data cables. Configure onboard network and management interfaces as needed, install the preferred operating system, and verify thermal and power configurations before placing the unit into a rack bay for production use.

Recommendations

Ensure all components — CPU, memory, storage and power supply — are compatible with the chassis and motherboard specifications. Maintain unobstructed front-to-rear airflow by following rack spacing and cable management best practices. Verify firmware and management card firmware versions during initial setup to enable stable operation in edge and 24/7 environments.
