The be quiet! Dark Rock Elite is a high-performance air cooler designed for efficient CPU cooling. It combines a 135 mm fan, a compact black housing (136 × 145 × 168 mm) and advanced cooling technology to deliver strong thermal performance with low noise levels. The cooler supports a wide range of sockets including Intel LGA 1150/1151/1155/1200/1700 and AMD AM4/AM5 and is engineered for compatibility with most PC cases and memory configurations thanks to an innovative rail system and a detachable top cover.

Advantages

Dark Rock Elite provides a balance of high cooling capacity (TDP 280 W) and quiet operation, using cutting-edge fan technology and an iconic, low-profile black design. The detachable top cover improves handling during installation, while the ARGB-capable lighting offers customizable illumination. The cooler’s layout and rail system increase RAM compatibility compared with many large air coolers.

Suitable for

High-performance desktop CPUs with up to 280 W TDP
Gaming rigs and content-creation workstations
Systems requiring quiet operation with efficient cooling
Builds needing good RAM clearance and case compatibility

Key specifications

Type: Air cooler
Fan diameter: 135 mm
Dimensions (W × D × H): 136 × 145 × 168 mm
Weight: 1.34 kg
TDP: 280 W
Supported sockets: Intel LGA 1150 / 1151 / 1155 / 1200 / 1700; AMD AM4 / AM5
Colour: Black
Manufacturer part number (MPN): BK037
EAN: 4260052190753

How to use

Mount the Dark Rock Elite onto a compatible motherboard following the included instructions and the standard mounting procedure for tower air coolers. Ensure the backplate and mounting hardware match the chosen CPU socket, position the cooler to provide sufficient clearance for memory modules and case panels, and connect the fan and ARGB headers to the motherboard. Apply thermal paste between the CPU heatspreader and the cooler base before fastening. Verify fan rotation and ARGB operation before closing the case.

Recommendations

For optimal results, use a compatible motherboard header for PWM fan control and an ARGB header if you intend to use the lighting; keep clear airflow paths within the case and check RAM clearance before final installation. Periodically clean dust from the fins and fan to maintain cooling efficiency.
