Blue Ice Octopus Pack 45 L kiipeilyreppu - Shadow

A 45-litre alpine climbing pack built for vertical missions, the Blue Ice Octopus Pack 45 L in Shadow delivers a frameless, low-profile carry with a roll-top closure and removable back panel. Its 210D ripstop nylon 66 shell shrugs off rock abrasion while keeping weight minimal, and the integrated rope strap secures a full cord over the top. Dual ice axe loops, side compression straps, and a removable webbing waist belt keep the load stable on technical approaches and multi-pitch routes.

Advantages

The Octopus Pack 45 L strips away everything that slows you down. The thermoformed EVA foam back panel is removable, letting you strip the pack for summit pushes or use it as a bivy pad. A drawcord with roll-top extension expands capacity for extra layers or a rack, while the top-loading design provides fast access at belays. The sternum strap includes a whistle for emergency signalling, and the internal hydration sleeve keeps water close without external bulk.

Recommendations

Pair the Octopus Pack 45 L with a lightweight alpine rack and a 60 m single rope for fast and light objectives. For winter routes, add a pair of technical ice tools in the dual loops and keep a puffy accessible in the roll-top extension. The pack's slim profile excels on chimneys and off-widths where bulky frames catch.
