BlueOptics 10GE-SFPP-AOC-2501-BO InfiniBand/kuituoptinen kaapeli 25 m SFP+ SFP+ AOC oranssi

The BlueOptics 10GE-SFPP-AOC-2501-BO is a 25 m active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors on both ends, designed for high-speed multimode optical links. It supports 10GBASE-SR class transmissions and is intended for direct SFP+ to SFP+ connections between network equipment such as switches, routers, servers and storage systems. The cable is manufactured to MSA-compliant SFP+ AOC specifications and is supplied in an orange jacket for easy identification in dense cabling environments.

Advantages

This AOC integrates transmitter and receiver modules at each end, enabling bidirectional 10 Gbps optical communication over multimode fiber without separate transceivers. Being pre-assembled and factory-terminated, it removes the need for patch cords and reduces connector loss and cleaning requirements. The cable offers Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM/DOM) support for real-time parameters such as supply voltage, bias current, output power, received power and temperature, facilitating remote monitoring and troubleshooting. BlueOptics uses components from established suppliers and follows MSA standards to provide compatibility and long operational lifetime.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 10 Gbps links in data centers and server rooms
• Direct SFP+ to SFP+ connections between switches, routers, servers and storage
• High-density cabling installations requiring easy identification and organized routing
• Environments where EMI resistance and low latency are important

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors
• Length: 25 meters
• Data rate: up to 10 Gbps (10GBASE-SR)
• Fiber type: multimode optical fiber
• DDM/DOM: supported (per SFF-8472)
• Jacket color: orange for easy identification
• Standards: MSA-compliant SFP+ AOC, CE and RoHS conformity indicated

How to use

Install the BlueOptics 10GE-SFPP-AOC-2501-BO by inserting the SFP+ connector plugs into the SFP+ ports of the two devices to be linked. Ensure both devices support SFP+ AOC modules and, if DDM/DOM monitoring is required, that the host hardware can read diagnostic data. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; follow typical multimode fiber bend-radius recommendations. No additional transceivers or patching are required because the cable is factory-terminated and ready for plug-and-play operation.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, avoid sharp bends, kinks and excessive pulling force. Verify host compatibility with SFP+ AOCs and enable DOM monitoring if available to track link health. Use the orange jacket to separate this 25 m multimode AOC from other cable types in rack and patching areas.
