Aktiivinen optinen kaapeli (AOC) CBO SFP-AOC-10G-10M 10 m SFP+ 10Gbps

The Active Optical Cable (AOC) CBO SFP-AOC-10G-10M is a 10 metre SFP+ direct-attach optical link engineered for 10 Gb/s short-reach connections between compatible SFP+ ports. It combines optical transceivers and an integrated fiber cable in a single assembly to deliver low latency, electrical isolation and immunity to electromagnetic interference compared with copper cabling. The cable is intended for high-density networking environments where reliable, high-speed links are required over mid-range rack-to-rack or within-rack distances.

Advantages

This AOC supports full 10 Gbps data rates with SFP+ form-factor connectors, enabling plug-and-play installation without additional transceivers. Its optical construction reduces crosstalk and eliminates ground-loop issues while consuming less power and generating less heat than equivalent electrical copper assemblies. The fixed-length optical assembly simplifies cable management in data center racks and helps maintain signal integrity for latency-sensitive applications.

Suitable for

• Data center uplinks between switches and routers
• Server-to-switch connections within racks or across adjacent racks
• High-speed switch-to-switch links in aggregation layers
• Low-latency connections for storage, virtualization and clustering

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ on both ends
• Data rate: 10 Gigabits per second (10 Gb/s)
• Length: 10 metres
• Transmission medium: active optical cable (integrated fiber with active transceivers)
• Latency: low, suitable for latency-sensitive applications
• Electrical isolation: inherent due to optical transmission
• EMI immunity: reduced electromagnetic interference compared with copper

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector into compatible SFP+ ports on networking equipment until the latching mechanism engages. No separate transceivers or fiber patching is required. Verify link status through the device management interface and confirm negotiated speed of 10 Gb/s. For best performance, avoid tight bends in the cable and ensure connectors are kept free of dust before insertion. Use devices that support SFP+ optics and AOC compatibility to ensure proper operation.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress, maintain ambient temperatures within the equipment specifications, and check interoperability notes for your switch or server vendor. If link issues occur, reseat the connectors and verify port configuration and firmware compatibility.
