Aktiivinen optinen kaapeli (AOC) CBO SFP-AOC-10G-5M 10G SFP+ 5 m

CBO SFP-AOC-10G-5M is a 5-metre Active Optical Cable (AOC) with SFP+ interfaces that supports a 10 Gbps data rate for short-range high-speed links. Designed for direct connections between switches, servers and storage units, this AOC integrates the optical transceivers and fiber into a single pre-terminated assembly, reducing component count and easing installation in dense rack environments. The construction provides low latency and immunity to electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives, while maintaining the compact form factor and hot-pluggable convenience of SFP+ modules.

Advantages

The integrated SFP+ AOC eliminates the need for separate transceivers and fiber patch cords, simplifying inventory and installation. With a 10 Gbps line rate over a 5 m link, the cable supports high-throughput connections with low power consumption and minimal signal loss. Its optical design reduces susceptibility to EMI and crosstalk, improving signal integrity in densely cabled data center racks. The pre-terminated assembly provides predictable performance and reduces installation time compared with field-terminated fiber solutions.

Suitable for

• Short-range switch-to-switch connections in data centers
• Server-to-switch uplinks and top-of-rack deployments
• Storage array interconnects requiring 10 Gbps bandwidth
• High-density cabling environments where space and airflow matter

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ on both ends
• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Length: 5 metres
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Latency: low optical latency suitable for high-performance links
• EMI immunity: optical transmission reduces electromagnetic interference
• Form factor: hot-pluggable SFP+ modules integrated into cable ends

How to use

Install the Active Optical Cable by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on network devices until the latch engages. Ensure that the link partners are powered and that ports are configured for 10 Gbps operation if required by your equipment. No separate transceivers or patch cords are needed; the pre-terminated cable provides an immediate optical connection once both ends are seated. For best results, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and ensure adequate airflow around equipment.

Recommendations

Use this 5 m SFP+ AOC for short, fixed-length connections inside racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid bending the cable beyond the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius and protect the connectors from contamination when not in use. Verify compatibility with switch and server port vendor specifications for SFP+ AOCs and confirm link settings after installation.
