Aktiivinen optinen kaapeli CBO AOC-SFP28-CABLE-50M-BO 50 m SFP28 uros 25 Gbit/s

The Active Optical Cable CBO AOC-SFP28-CABLE-50M-BO is a 50-meter direct-attach solution with SFP28 male connectors that supports 25 Gbit/s data throughput. It is engineered for short-reach, high-speed links between SFP28 ports in switches, servers and other network devices. The integrated active optical design reduces electromagnetic interference and removes the need for separate transceivers and patch fiber assemblies, simplifying rack-to-rack and cabinet-to-cabinet connections in data center and enterprise environments.

Advantages

This cable delivers 25 Gbit/s performance over a 50 m optical link while keeping installation straightforward through plug-and-play SFP28 connectivity. The active optical construction provides improved signal integrity compared with copper for similar distances and reduces susceptibility to crosstalk and EMI. With a single, factory-terminated assembly there is less installation time and fewer components to manage, which supports predictable latency and consistent link quality.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 25G connections between top-of-rack or leaf switches and servers
• Inter-rack or inter-cabinet links in data centers
• High-density networking environments where space and cable management matter
• Enterprise aggregation and spine-leaf architectures requiring 25 Gbit/s links

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Maximum supported data rate: 25 Gbit/s per channel
• Cable length: 50 meters
• Physical medium: active optical cable
• Typical use: short-reach direct attach between SFP28 ports

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP28 plug into compatible SFP28 ports on network devices until the connectors latch. Confirm link status through device LED indicators or management interfaces and verify that the interfaces negotiate the expected 25 Gbit/s link speed. No separate transceivers or fiber patch cords are required; handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid sharp bends near the termination points. When removing, press the connector latch and withdraw straight out to prevent damage to the module cage.

Recommendations

Use this active optical cable in controlled data center or enterprise rack environments, avoid excessive bending below the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius, and maintain clean connector interfaces. Verify compatibility with your switch and server vendor guidance for passive and active optical assemblies to ensure proper link operation.
