Aktiivinen optinen kaapeli CBO SFP28-AOC-2M 2 m SFP28 linkki 25 Gbps

CBO SFP28-AOC-2M is a 2 meter Active Optical Cable with SFP28 connectors engineered for 25Gbps links. It is intended for short-reach optical interconnects between servers, switches and storage systems. The cable provides a lightweight, low-latency connection that reduces electromagnetic interference compared with copper counterparts and supports plug-and-play installation in compatible SFP28 ports.

Advantages

The Active Optical Cable delivers high data throughput at 25Gbps over a 2 m length while keeping power consumption and heat generation low. Optical transmission minimizes susceptibility to electromagnetic interference, which helps maintain signal integrity in dense rack environments. The integrated SFP28 connector design ensures straightforward insertion into standard SFP28 cages and hot-pluggable operation, simplifying deployment and replacement without additional transceivers or fiber patching.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack connections in data centers
• Server-to-switch interconnects requiring 25Gbps bandwidth
• High-performance storage area network links over short distances
• Switch stacking and top-of-rack uplinks within the same rack row

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 on both ends
• Data rate: 25 Gbps per link
• Length: 2 meters
• Cable type: Active optical cable (integrated optical transceivers)
• Signal latency: low, designed for short-reach high-speed interconnects
• EMI immunity: optical transmission reduces electromagnetic interference compared with copper

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP28 connector into compatible SFP28 ports on networking equipment, ensuring the latching mechanism engages. No separate transceivers or fiber patch cords are required. After seating both ends, verify link status through the host devices; the interface should negotiate 25Gbps where supported. For hot-plug operations, follow the equipment vendor’s guidelines to avoid interrupting traffic on active ports.

Recommendations

Use the cable within standard data center temperature and handling ranges and avoid tight bends or kinks that could stress the optical fibers. Confirm compatibility with switch and server models that support SFP28 AOC modules and validate link speed in your network management interface. For rack installations, route the cable to avoid sharp edges and excessive tension to maintain long-term signal reliability.
