Aktiivinen optinen kaapeli CBO SFP28-AOC-50M Coriant 50 m SFP28 AOC

Active Optical Cable CBO SFP28-AOC-50M Coriant 50 m SFP28 AOC is a 50‑meter SFP28-compatible active optical direct-attach cable designed for 25 Gb/s links in data center environments. The cable offers plug-and-play SFP28 connectivity for switches, servers and storage devices, combining reduced weight and lower electromagnetic interference compared with copper assemblies. It is intended for short- to mid-range interconnects where predictable signal integrity and an optical medium are preferred.

Advantages

The SFP28-AOC-50M provides a consistent 25 Gb/s optical channel over 50 meters with the convenience of SFP28 form-factor connectivity. As an active optical cable, it reduces cable weight and bulk while eliminating susceptibility to electromagnetic interference common to copper alternatives. The integrated transceivers remove the need for separate optic modules and simplify installation with plug-and-play operation.

Suitable for

• Switch-to-switch connections within data halls
• Server-to-switch uplinks in rack and row deployments
• Storage system interconnects requiring 25 Gb/s links
• Short- to mid-range optical backbone runs inside data centers

Key specifications

• Link speed: 25 Gb/s (SFP28-compatible)
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Length: 50 m
• Connector form-factor: SFP28 on both ends
• Use environment: designed for data center interconnects (short to mid range)

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP28 end into the SFP28 ports of the connected devices until the latch engages. Verify link status on both devices and configure the network interfaces according to your equipment vendor guidelines. No separate transceiver modules are required; handle the cable by the connectors and avoid sharp bends near the ends. For safe operation, route the cable to prevent mechanical stress and maintain airflow in equipment racks.

Recommendations

Use the cable for in-rack and inter-rack optical connections up to 50 m, avoid exceeding the minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer, and confirm compatibility with the host devices' SFP28 ports. Regularly inspect connectors for contamination and clean them before insertion if necessary.
