AOC optinen aktiivinen optinen kaapeli CBO SFP-AOC-10G-2M 10G 2 m

Active Optical Cable CBO SFP-AOC-10G-2M is a factory-terminated SFP+ AOC that provides a 10 Gbps optical link over a 2-meter duplex fiber assembly. Intended for short-reach interconnects, the cable offers low latency and immunity to electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives, while consuming less power. The CBO AOC is suitable for connecting switches, servers and storage devices in data center and enterprise network environments where reliable 10G links are required.

Advantages

The AOC uses integrated optical transceivers to deliver consistent 10 Gbps performance across the full 2 m length with minimal signal loss and no field termination. Its optical construction provides EMI immunity and improved signal integrity in dense rack environments. Compared with equivalent copper twinax options, the AOC typically reduces power consumption and thermal output and eliminates concerns about connector degradation or bulky wiring.

Suitable for

• Inter-switch uplinks in data centre racks
• Server-to-switch direct connectivity
• Storage array connections requiring 10 Gbps short-reach links
• High-density cabling runs inside racks and patch panels

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ on both ends (active optical)
• Data rate: 10 Gbps (full duplex)
• Length: 2 metres
• Cable type: Duplex optical assembly with integrated transceivers
• Latency: low, suitable for latency-sensitive links
• EMI performance: immune to electromagnetic interference
• Power: lower power consumption compared with equivalent copper solutions

How to use

Install the Active Optical Cable by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on networking equipment until the latch engages. Verify link status on connected devices and ensure both ends are configured for 10 Gbps operation if required. Handle the cable by the connector body and avoid sharp bends; maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the equipment manufacturer to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

Use the AOC for short-reach connections within racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid routing the cable alongside high-tension moving parts and keep it protected from mechanical strain. For long-term reliability, inspect connectors for contamination before insertion and follow device vendor guidelines for SFP+ module compatibility.
