BlueOptics AOC-S-S-10G-25M-BO InfiniBand-kuitukaapeli SFP+ 25 m uros/uros

The BlueOptics AOC-S-S-10G-25M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable SFP+ 25m Male/Male is a 25-metre active optical cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission. With SFP+ connectors on both ends, this AOC enables direct, low-latency links between compatible switches, servers and storage systems. The cable is intended for environments that demand stable 10Gb/s connectivity while maintaining signal integrity over a mid-range distance.

Advantages

This active optical cable delivers consistent 10Gb/s data throughput with reduced electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives. Its SFP+ termination ensures plug-and-play compatibility with equipment that supports SFP+ ports, simplifying installation and maintenance. The 25-metre length provides flexibility for rack-to-rack or row-to-row connections in data centre layouts while keeping attenuation low and latency minimal.

Suitable for

• Interconnections between SFP+ ports on switches and routers
• Server-to-switch links in rack and row deployments
• Storage area network (SAN) uplinks and interconnects
• High-performance computing clusters requiring InfiniBand-compatible cabling

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Connector type: SFP+ male on both ends
• Data rate: 10 Gigabit per second class performance
• Length: 25 metres
• Transmission medium: optical fibre with active transceivers integrated in the cable assembly
• Typical use: short to mid-range datacentre interconnects with low latency

How to use

Ensure both devices have compatible SFP+ ports and are powered off or in a safe state for hot-plug operations per your equipment guidelines. Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ slot until it clicks, taking care to align the latch correctly. Verify link status on connected devices and configure interface settings if required by your network equipment. For removal, release the latch and carefully pull the connector straight out to avoid stress on the cable or ports.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Avoid running the AOC alongside high-voltage power lines to reduce mechanical stress and potential interference in dense cabling environments. Keep the connectors clean and replace protective caps when not in use. For compatibility, confirm that your switches or servers support SFP+ active optical modules and the intended 10Gb/s link mode.
