BlueOptics AXC7603-10000S-BO InfiniBand/kuitu-kaapeli 3 m SFP+ oranssi

The BlueOptics AXC7603-10000S-BO is a 3 m InfiniBand/fibre optic active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ male connectors at both ends. Designed for short-range, high-speed links, this orange multi-mode fibre cable provides a standardized SFP+ to SFP+ connection compatible with equipment supporting 10GBASE-SR and SFP+ MSA interfaces. The orange jacket simplifies identification and cable management in racks and data centers.

Advantages

This active optical cable integrates transmitter and receiver modules on each end to transmit optical signals over multi-mode fibre, enabling reliable 10 Gbit/s data transfer across a 3 m link. Because it follows SFP+ MSA standards, it is compatible with many devices that accept SFP+ 10GBASE-SR modules. The fixed AOC form factor eliminates separate transceivers and patch cables, reducing connector count and simplifying installation in densely cabled environments.

Key specifications

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into a compatible SFP+ port on the devices to be linked, ensuring the connectors click into place. No separate transceivers or patch fibres are required because transmitter and receiver components are integrated. After insertion, verify link status on both devices and confirm negotiated speed and optical parameters in the device management interface. When removing the cable, depress the connector latch before pulling to avoid port damage.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short-distance 10G connections in racks and adjacent racks where multi-mode, 10GBASE-SR compatible links are required. Keep bends above the minimum bend radius and avoid tight routing around sharp edges. Store and handle the AOC by the connector housings rather than by the fibre jacket to prevent stress on internal components.
