BlueOptics CBL-SFP+AOC-25M-BO InfiniBand-/kuituvalokaapeli 25 m aqua

The BlueOptics CBL-SFP+AOC-25M-BO InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 25m Aqua is a 25-metre active optical cable (AOC) with male SFP+ connectors designed for high-speed data transmission in data centre and networking environments. It uses a multi-mode fibre channel with integrated transmitters and receivers on each end to support 10G-class link speeds over a 25 m distance. The cable is colour-coded aqua and intended for environments requiring reliable, low-latency connections between switches, routers, storage systems and compatible network interfaces.

Advantages

The active optical design reduces signal loss over longer copper runs while maintaining SFP+ compatibility and compliance with MSA mechanical interfaces. With integrated optics at both ends, the cable provides consistent 10G performance over 25 metres and avoids the need for separate transceivers and patch cords. The single-cable solution simplifies rack cabling and supports multi-protocol traffic such as Ethernet and Fibre Channel over Ethernet within the supported link speed.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 10G connections in data centres and server rooms
• Interconnects between switches, routers and storage arrays
• High-throughput links where low latency and signal integrity are required
• Replacement or extension of existing SFP+ based optical links up to 25 m

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ to SFP+ (male)
• Link length: 25 metres
• Media type: Active optical cable (AOC) with multi-mode fibre
• Supported data rate: up to 10 Gbit/s
• Colour: aqua

How to use

Insert the SFP+ connectors into compatible SFP+ ports on network devices while the devices are powered down or follow hot-plug guidance from the device manufacturer. Ensure connectors are clean before insertion and that cable routing avoids tight bends or physical stress. After connection, verify link status and speed via the host devices' management interface and confirm the link operates at the expected 10G rate.

Recommendations

Use the cable within standard data centre environmental conditions, avoid sharp bends and kinks, and inspect connector end-faces for contamination before installing. When replacing or installing in hardware platforms, confirm device compatibility with SFP+ AOC modules and follow manufacturer guidance for firmware or driver requirements.
