CBO InfiniBand aktiivinen optinen kaapeli AOC-S-S-25G-7M-BO 25G 7 m

CBO InfiniBand Active Optical Cable AOC-S-S-25G-7M-BO 25G 7 m is a 7-metre duplex active optical cable engineered for InfiniBand environments requiring 25 Gbps connectivity. The cable integrates optical transceivers at both ends and a fibre optic link to provide high-bandwidth, low-latency connections between network equipment. Its pre-terminated, ready-to-use design simplifies installation in data centre topologies, while the optical medium eliminates electromagnetic interference common to copper links.

Advantages

The active optical construction delivers low latency and consistent throughput at 25 Gbps over a 7 m distance, suitable for short-range interconnects. Pre-terminated connectors reduce deployment time and errors compared with field-terminated fibre. The optical link offers immunity to electromagnetic interference and avoids signal degradation associated with long copper runs. The duplex configuration supports full-duplex InfiniBand traffic between switches, servers and storage systems.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack and intra-rack high-speed interconnects in data centres
• Connecting InfiniBand switches, servers and storage arrays requiring 25 Gbps links
• Low-latency computing clusters and HPC environments
• Environments where electromagnetic immunity and reduced crosstalk are required

Key specifications

• Link speed: 25 Gbps duplex
• Length: 7 metres
• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC)
• Connector ends: duplex optical connectors compatible with InfiniBand ports
• Signal type: optical fiber for low-latency transmission
• Typical applications: data centre interconnect, server-switch and switch-switch links

How to use

Install the cable by plugging each pre-terminated connector into the appropriate InfiniBand port on switches, servers or storage devices. Ensure port compatibility and that devices are powered off or able to support hot-plug connections per equipment guidelines. Route the cable within racks or between racks avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended by the switch or server vendor. After connection, verify link status and data throughput through device management interfaces.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, handle the active optical cable by the connector boots and avoid touching fibre endfaces. Use cable management to prevent tight bends and mechanical strain. Confirm port compatibility and firmware support on switches and host adapters before deployment to ensure full 25 Gbps operation.
