CBO InfiniBand SFP28 aktiivinen optinen kaapeli JNP-25G-AOC-50M-BO 50 m aqua

The CBO InfiniBand SFP28 Active Optical Cable JNP-25G-AOC-50M-BO 50 m Aqua is an active optical link with SFP28 connectors designed for high-speed interconnects in data centers and high performance computing environments. This 50-meter cable uses optical transmission to provide extended reach compared to copper assemblies while maintaining low latency and high signal integrity. Its aqua jacket identifies it for high-density fibre installations and offers a flexible, lightweight alternative where electrical copper cabling is impractical.

Advantages

This active optical cable delivers long-reach connectivity with low signal attenuation and minimal electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for distance-sensitive links between servers, switches and storage arrays. The use of SFP28 interfaces ensures compatibility with 25 Gigabit InfiniBand or compatible 25GbE ports, while the optical medium reduces heat generation and physical bulk. The aqua color simplifies identification in dense cabling environments and the cable's flexibility aids routing in constrained conduits and racks.

How to use

Insert the SFP28 connectors into the corresponding SFP28 ports on each device, ensuring the transceivers click into place and the link indicators on the equipment show an active connection. Route the cable through rack channels or cable trays, avoiding tight bends and sharp kinks; maintain the manufacturer’s recommended minimum bend radius. For optimal performance, verify port compatibility and speed settings on network devices and update firmware or drivers if required to enable full 25 Gbit/s operation.

Recommendations

Use the cable for medium-distance links inside data centers where optical reach and low EMI are priorities. Store and handle the AOC carefully to prevent damage to the fiber elements; avoid repeated tight bending and excessive pulling tension. Label both ends with location and port information to simplify maintenance in dense installations.
