BlueOptics ET5402-AOC-20M-BO InfiniBand-kuitukaapeli SFP+ aqua 20m uros/uros

The BlueOptics ET5402-AOC-20M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable SFP+ Aqua 20m Male/Male is a 20-metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ to SFP+ connectors designed for high-speed short-reach interconnects. It uses multi-mode fibre with integrated optical transmitter and receiver modules at each end to carry optical signals in accordance with common 10GBASE-SR and InfiniBand short-reach protocols. The aqua-coloured jacket provides quick visual identification in cabling environments while the male-to-male SFP+ configuration ensures direct connection between SFP+ ports on switches, routers, storage arrays and host adapters.

Advantages

This AOC offers a fixed-length, low-latency optical link without the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, reducing connector loss and cabling complexity. The integrated SFP+ modules follow MSA-compatible form factors for broad interoperability with equipment that supports compatible active AOC modules. With a 20 m length it covers common in-rack and adjacent-rack connections in data centres and high-performance computing setups.

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port of the devices to be connected, ensuring the latches engage and the connectors are fully seated. Use the cable to link SFP+ ports on switches, routers, storage systems or host adapters up to 20 metres apart. No separate transceiver modules or additional patch cables are required; the integrated optics handle transmission and reception. Verify device compatibility with active AOC modules and check link status indicators on both devices after insertion to confirm a live connection.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for AOC assemblies. Use the aqua-coloured jacket to organise and identify InfiniBand / 10G links in your patching scheme, and confirm firmware or vendor compatibility notes on devices when deploying active optical cables.
