BlueOptics ET6402-AOC-7M-BO InfiniBand-kuitukaapeli 7m QSFP uros/uros

The BlueOptics ET6402-AOC-7M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 7m QSFP Male/Male is a 7‑meter active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP connectors on both ends. It is designed for high-speed short-range links in data centres and high-performance computing environments, providing an optical transmitter and receiver in each QSFP housing and supporting multi-mode fibre transmission. The cable follows MSA-compatible QSFP form-factor conventions and is intended for direct QSFP-to-QSFP interconnects between switches, routers, servers and storage devices.

Advantages

The active optical design delivers high bandwidth over 7 meters while keeping electrical isolation and lower weight compared with equivalent copper assemblies. QSFP male‑to‑male connectors simplify direct device-to-device connections without transceivers, reducing component count in rack setups. Multi‑mode fibre transmission with integrated optical transceivers on both ends supports short-range 40G-class applications and is suitable for dense cabling runs in modern data centre racks.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics ET6402-AOC-7M-BO by inserting each QSFP male connector into the QSFP port of the corresponding devices until the connector latches. Ensure both devices are powered and configured for the same link speed and protocol (for example Ethernet or Fibre Channel over Ethernet). Route the 7 m cable through the rack to avoid tight bends; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multi‑mode optical cables. No additional transceivers are required when using QSFP ports that accept AOCs.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, verify device compatibility with QSFP AOC modules and confirm port settings for 40G operation. Avoid excessive bending and mechanical stress on the cable and keep connectors free of dust; use protective caps when ports are not connected.
