InfiniBand-kaapeli CBO CBL-305-BO 5 m SFP+ oranssi

The InfiniBand cable CBO CBL-305-BO 5 m SFP+ orange is a 5 metre active/optical connection cable engineered for high-speed links in data centers and server rooms. Designed for use with SFP+ interfaces, this orange cable supports short- to medium-reach connections between switches, host bus adapters (HBAs) and storage systems. Its compact SFP+ termination and single dedicated length simplify rack cabling while maintaining low latency and reliable data transfer for InfiniBand and related SFP+ applications.

Advantages

This SFP+ InfiniBand cable provides a plug-and-play active or optical connection that reduces the need for transceivers and additional patching. The 5 m length balances reach and cable management, allowing connections across racks or between adjacent equipment without excess slack. The orange jacket improves port and link identification in dense cabling environments. The cable is intended to deliver stable throughput with minimal signal degradation across the specified short-to-medium distance.

How to use

Install the InfiniBand cable by inserting each SFP+ termination into the corresponding SFP+ port on your switches, HBAs or storage devices until the latch engages. Ensure the cable routing avoids sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for active/optical cables. Verify link status indicators on connected equipment to confirm an active connection. For best results, match the cable to SFP+ ports that support InfiniBand or compatible protocols and confirm firmware or driver settings where required.

Recommendations

Use this 5 m SFP+ cable in organized rack layouts to minimize crosstalk and simplify fault tracing. Keep spare lengths coiled loosely without tight loops, and avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines to reduce interference. When replacing cables, select the same connector type and length to maintain consistent performance and labeling across the infrastructure.
