BlueOptics JNP-10G-AOC-5M-BO InfiniBand/kuitu-kaapeli SFP+ 5 m

The BlueOptics JNP-10G-AOC-5M-BO is a 5-meter Active Optical Cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors designed for high-speed InfiniBand and fibre optic network links. It supports 10G data rates using a 10GBASE-SR optical interface over multimode fiber and provides a pre-assembled SFP+ to SFP+ connection that integrates transmitters and receivers on each end for reliable optical signal transmission.

Advantages

This AOC provides low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity without susceptibility to electromagnetic interference, as the optical link transmits data via laser over multimode fiber. The BlueOptics cable is built to MSA SFP+ AOC standards for mechanical and electrical interoperability and includes digital diagnostic monitoring (DDM/DOM) for real-time parameters such as supply voltage, laser bias current, transmit output power, receive input power and temperature. Components are selected to meet industrial standards and extended operating lifetimes for sustained availability.

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port of the devices to be connected, ensuring the connectors are fully seated and the devices are powered according to vendor instructions. The pre-assembled cable requires no field termination or polishing; the optical transceivers on both ends handle conversion between electrical and optical signals. If remote monitoring is needed, enable and access the DDM/DOM parameters from the host equipment that supports these diagnostics.

Recommendations

Use this 5 m AOC for short-reach multimode connections inside racks or between adjacent racks. Confirm host device compatibility with SFP+ AOC modules and enable DDM/DOM support in the device firmware to monitor link health. Avoid tight bends and mechanical strain on the cable and keep connectors dust-free when not in use.
