Kuitu-SFP-moduuli CBO SFP-10G-BX-D-40KM-FR-BO 10 Gbit/s LC yksikuitu 40 km

CBO SFP-10G-BX-D-40KM-FR-BO is a compact fiber optic SFP transceiver module that delivers 10 Gbit/s data throughput over a single-fiber bidirectional link. The module uses an LC connector and is engineered for point-to-point connections across distances up to 40 km, making it suitable for long-reach uplinks, metro links and data center interconnects. Its SFP form factor provides hot-pluggable installation in compatible switches, routers and optical devices while preserving rack and chassis space.

Advantages

The transceiver provides a 10 Gbit/s transmission rate over a single fiber using bidirectional (BIDI) technology, reducing fiber count and simplifying cabling. The LC connector ensures compatibility with standard fiber patch panels and cabling systems. Compact SFP packaging supports hot-swap replacement and flexible deployment in populated network equipment. The module is designed for reliable operation over distances up to 40 km, enabling stable long-distance links without complex external optics.

Suitable for

• Long-distance network uplinks between distribution sites
• Metro and campus fiber links requiring 10 Gbit/s bandwidth
• Data center interconnects and server-to-switch connections
• Optical network upgrades where single-fiber BIDI reduces fiber usage

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gbit/s
• Connector type: LC
• Single-fiber bidirectional (BIDI) operation
• Maximum reach: up to 40 km over single-mode fiber
• Form factor: SFP (hot-pluggable)

How to use

Insert the SFP module into a compatible SFP port on a switch, router or media converter while the device is powered on or following the vendor's hot-swap guidelines. Connect the LC patch cable carrying the transmit and receive wavelengths to the corresponding ports on the remote transceiver to establish a bidirectional link. Verify link status and speed via the host device management interface and ensure fiber polarity and connector cleanliness to maintain signal integrity.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use single-mode fiber rated for the specified reach and keep LC connectors clean using appropriate fiber cleaning tools. Confirm compatibility with host equipment firmware and SFP support lists, and monitor link health through the network management system. When planning deployments, consider the reduction in fiber pairs due to bidirectional operation and ensure correct wavelength pairing on both ends.
