BlueOptics OC40-QSFP-AOC-3M-C-BO InfiniBand kuitu-kaapeli 3m QSFP uros/uros

The BlueOptics OC40-QSFP-AOC-3M-C-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 3-meter active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP male connectors on both ends. Designed for high-speed data transfer, this AOC implements multi-mode fibre optics with integrated transmitter and receiver modules at each connector, supporting 40G-class links over short-reach connections. The cable is compatible with equipment that accepts QSFP-to-QSFP connections and adheres to MSA-style QSFP form-factor expectations.

Advantages

This 3 m BlueOptics AOC delivers low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity suitable for dense data center environments. Active optical construction reduces electromagnetic interference and allows reliable signal transmission over multi-mode fibre. QSFP-to-QSFP connectivity simplifies direct device-to-device links between switches, servers and storage systems while maintaining a standardized connector form factor for broad compatibility.

Suitable for

• Direct links between QSFP-enabled switches and routers
• Server-to-switch and storage fabric interconnects in data centers
• Short-reach 40G InfiniBand or Ethernet high-speed links

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with multi-mode fibre
• Length: 3 meters
• Connector type: QSFP male to QSFP male
• Supported data rates: up to 40 Gbit/s per link (40G class applications)
• Application layers: Ethernet, Fibre Channel over Ethernet, InfiniBand and similar high-speed protocols
• Form factor compatibility: QSFP MSA style

How to use

Insert the QSFP connectors into the corresponding QSFP ports on each device until the connector latch engages. Ensure both devices are powered and configured for the intended protocol and link speed. The cable contains active optical transceivers on both ends, so no external power or separate transceivers are required. After physical connection, verify link status and perform any required network configuration or diagnostics on the connected equipment.

Recommendations

For consistent performance, route the cable to avoid tight bends or mechanical stress and keep connectors clean and dust-free. Use this 3 m AOC for short-reach interconnects inside racks or between adjacent racks; for longer distances consider appropriate optical transceivers and fibre assemblies. If a device shows incompatibility, check device firmware and QSFP port settings or consult vendor compatibility lists.
