Optinen InfiniBand AOC-kaapeli CBO QSFP-AOC-5M-MA-BO – QSFP - QSFP, aktiivinen optinen, 5 m

The BlueOptics Optical InfiniBand AOC cable CBO QSFP-AOC-5M-MA-BO is a 5-meter active optical cable with QSFP connectors on both ends. It integrates electrical-to-optical conversion within the cable assembly to deliver high-speed InfiniBand connectivity between servers, switches and storage devices. Designed for short to mid-range fiber links, this active optical cable reduces electromagnetic interference and supports low-latency data transmission over a 5 m reach.

Advantages

The active optical construction enables reliable signal integrity and consistent throughput across the full 5 m length while maintaining low latency suitable for InfiniBand environments. By converting electrical signals to optical within the cable, it minimizes susceptibility to electromagnetic interference and crosstalk typical of copper assemblies. QSFP-to-QSFP connectivity provides a compact, standardized interface compatible with devices that support quad small form-factor pluggable ports.

Suitable for

• High-speed interconnects between servers and switches in data centers
• Storage area network (SAN) links requiring low-latency transmission
• Short to mid-range fiber runs inside racks and between adjacent racks
• Environments where EMI reduction and signal integrity are important

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP to QSFP
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC) with integrated transceivers
• Length: 5 meters
• Application: InfiniBand high-speed data interconnects
• Performance attributes: Low latency, reduced electromagnetic interference, high signal integrity

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each QSFP connector into the corresponding QSFP port on network equipment or servers until the connector latches. Ensure devices are powered and configured for InfiniBand operation with compatible port settings. No external transceivers or additional fiber patching are required; the conversion from electrical to optical signals is handled within the cable assembly. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends or mechanical stress and maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the cable in rack or between-rack distances up to 5 m and avoid exposing the assembly to excessive bending, kinking, or tight cable bundles. Verify compatibility with host ports and firmware that support QSFP AOC modules and follow standard ESD precautions when handling connectors.
