BlueOptics Q28-AOC-30M-SP-BO InfiniBand-kuituoptinen kaapeli QSFP28 30 m uros/uros

The BlueOptics Q28-AOC-30M-SP-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable QSFP28 30m Male/Male is a 30-metre active optical cable designed for high-throughput, low-latency interconnects in data centres and HPC environments. With QSFP28 male connectors on both ends, this cable provides a straightforward, hot-pluggable connection between InfiniBand or Ethernet equipment that supports QSFP28 interfaces. The cable is intended to deliver reliable signal integrity and stable performance over its full 30 m length while minimising electromagnetic interference and power consumption compared with equivalent copper solutions.

Advantages

This QSFP28 active optical cable supports high data rates suitable for InfiniBand and compatible QSFP28 ports, offering consistent bandwidth and low latency for demanding workloads. The optical design reduces susceptibility to electromagnetic interference and enables longer reach than passive copper alternatives at similar data rates. The two male QSFP28 connectors are hot-swappable, simplifying installation and maintenance in rack environments. The cable's 30 m length provides flexibility for rack-to-rack or cross-row connections without signal repeaters.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack connections in data centres
• High-performance computing clusters and node interconnects
• Switch-to-switch links requiring QSFP28 interfaces
• Low-latency storage network links and fabric connections

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP28 male to QSFP28 male
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Length: 30 metres
• Supported protocols: InfiniBand and QSFP28-compatible Ethernet/fabric links
• Performance: Designed for high data rates and low latency suitable for QSFP28 interfaces
• Immunity: Low susceptibility to electromagnetic interference due to optical transmission

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each QSFP28 male connector into the corresponding QSFP28 port on your devices until the connector latches. Ensure both ends are aligned with the port orientation and that devices are powered according to their manufacturer instructions. The cable is hot-pluggable, so it can be connected or disconnected while equipment is running where supported, but follow standard data-centre handling procedures to avoid physical strain on ports and to maintain fibre integrity. Verify link status and configuration in your switch or host interfaces after installation.

Recommendations

Use this 30 m QSFP28 AOC for direct optical links between racks and across short data-centre aisles. Avoid tight bends and sharp kinks in the cable; maintain the manufacturer's minimum bend radius to preserve optical performance. Keep the connector dust caps in place when not connected and handle connectors by the housing to prevent contamination. For critical links, monitor port statistics and error counters after deployment to confirm expected throughput and latency.
