BlueOptics QSFP-AOC-3M-NK-BO InfiniBand-kuituoptinen kaapeli 3 m uros/uros

The BlueOptics QSFP-AOC-3M-NK-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 3m Male/Male is a 3-metre active optical cable with QSFP connectors at both ends intended for high-speed point-to-point links in data centres and professional networking environments. The cable supports InfiniBand protocols and is designed to provide low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity between switches, adapters and servers while maintaining signal integrity over the 3 m distance.

Advantages

This QSFP AOC delivers the benefits of optical transmission—electrical isolation, reduced electromagnetic interference and lower weight compared with copper equivalents—while offering a compact QSFP form factor for direct QSFP-to-QSFP connections. The fixed 3 m length simplifies cabling planning in rack-to-rack or within-rack installations and the male-to-male QSFP interfaces ensure straightforward compatibility with standard QSFP ports on network gear. The active optical design reduces heat and power concerns at the link endpoints and supports stable, high-throughput data transfer suitable for InfiniBand traffic.

Suitable for

• High-speed server-to-switch or switch-to-switch connections in data centres
• InfiniBand cluster interconnects and HPC environments
• Dense rack cabling where compact QSFP ports are used

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP male on both ends
• Length: 3 metres
• Medium: active optical cable (AOC)
• Protocol compatibility: InfiniBand (high-speed data fabrics)
• Form factor: QSFP (quad small form-factor pluggable) direct-attached

How to use

Install the BlueOptics QSFP-AOC-3M-NK-BO by inserting each QSFP male connector into the corresponding QSFP port on your devices until the connector latch engages. Ensure devices are powered down or follow hot-plugging guidance from device manufacturers if you plan to connect while powered. Verify link lights or management interfaces to confirm the connection is recognised and operating at the expected data rate. Route the 3 m cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended by the system manufacturer.

Recommendations

Use this AOC for short to medium-length InfiniBand links inside racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid repeated unnecessary unplugging and handle connectors by the housing to preserve optical performance. When planning a deployment, check compatibility with your switches’ QSFP ports and firmware support for InfiniBand speeds to ensure optimal operation.
