BlueOptics SFP-25G-A15M-BO InfiniBand-kuitukaapeli 15 m SFP28 aqua

The BlueOptics SFP-25G-A15M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 15 m SFP28 Aqua is a 15-meter active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 connectors designed for high-speed short-range connections. It provides a direct SFP28-to-SFP28 link using multimode fibre and integrates transmitter and receiver modules at each end to support optical signal transmission according to the 25GBASE-SR4 profile. The aqua-coloured jacket identifies the multimode cable type and helps with organised cabling in data centres and networking racks.

Advantages

This cable delivers reliable 25 Gbit/s per lane optical transmission over a 15 m multimode link and is compatible with SFP28 ports that support the 25GBASE-SR4 standard. The integrated transceiver modules on both ends reduce the need for separate optics and simplify installation. The male-to-male SFP28 connection and standardised form factor ensure interoperability with equipment that accepts SFP28 AOC modules. The 15 m length provides flexible placement options within racks and between adjacent racks while maintaining low signal attenuation typical for active optical cables.

Suitable for

• Short-range high-speed links in data centres and server rooms
• Interconnecting switches, routers and storage systems with SFP28 ports
• High-throughput environments requiring 25G optical connections

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 to SFP28 (male/male)
• Length: 15 m
• Data rate: up to 25 Gbit/s (per channel as supported by 25GBASE-SR4)
• Optical type: multimode fibre
• Cable colour: aqua (multimode identification)
• Active Optical Cable (AOC) with integrated transmitter and receiver modules

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the network devices until the module latches. Ensure devices are powered and configured to accept 25G optical links and that port settings match the supported protocols (for example, Ethernet or Fibre Channel over Ethernet). Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress, keeping the 15 m length within a single equipment room or between adjacent racks as required. If a device enforces vendor checks, enable compatible port settings or consult device documentation for AOC acceptance.

Recommendations

Use this BlueOptics 15 m SFP28 AOC for short-range, high-bandwidth interconnects inside data centres; maintain bend radius and handle connectors by the housing to preserve optical performance. Verify device compatibility with 25GBASE-SR4 SFP28 AOCs before deployment.
