SFP+ aktiivinen optinen kaapeli CBO SFP-AOC-10G-15M 10Gbps 15m

Active Optical Cable CBO SFP-AOC-10G-15M is a factory-assembled SFP+ direct-attach solution that delivers 10 Gbps connectivity over a 15-meter optical link. Built for data center and network interconnects, this BlueOptics AOC integrates transceivers and a fiber cable into a single, pluggable module that fits SFP+ ports. It eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, reducing setup complexity while providing low latency and energy-efficient 10G links between switches, servers and storage systems.

Advantages

The cable offers a compact, reliable alternative to discrete fiber transceivers and patching by combining optics and cabling in one assembly. It supports 10 Gbps line rate with minimal insertion loss and low power consumption compared with active electrical copper cables over similar distances. Hot-pluggable SFP+ connectors simplify installation and replacement, and the pre-terminated design reduces the risk of connector damage or mispatching during deployment.

Suitable for

• Top-of-rack and end-of-row switch-to-switch interconnects
• Server-to-switch and server-to-storage 10G links in data centers
• High-density patching scenarios where space and cooling are constrained
• Short-to-medium reach optical connections within enterprise LAN and campus networks

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ form factor with integrated optical cable
• Data rate: 10 Gbps (full duplex)
• Cable length: 15 meters
• Transmission medium: multimode optical fiber within active assembly
• Connector type: hot-pluggable SFP+ plugs on both ends
• Typical use: short-to-medium reach interconnects in data center environments

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on the devices to be interconnected, ensuring the connectors latch securely. Devices should be powered on or have ports enabled according to the host hardware procedures; the integrated optics establish the 10 Gbps link automatically once both ends are recognized. No separate transceiver modules or fiber patch cords are required; handle the cable by the reinforced jacket and avoid tight bends below the recommended bend radius to maintain link integrity.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, verify SFP+ port compatibility with vendor-supported optics lists and confirm link settings (speed, duplex, and auto-negotiation) on both devices. Maintain minimum bend radius of the optical cable, keep connectors free of dust, and store unused ends in protective caps. Use in climate-controlled racks and avoid exposure to mechanical stress or excessive vibration.
