BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-25M-CP-BO InfiniBand-kuituoptinen kaapeli 25 m SFP+ uros/uros

The BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-25M-CP-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 25m SFP+ Male/Male is a 25-metre active optical cable designed for high-speed InfiniBand and 10 Gigabit Ethernet interconnects. With SFP+ male connectors on both ends, this cable provides a direct, hot-pluggable connection between compatible transceiver ports without the need for separate transceivers. Engineered for low signal loss and stable throughput, it is suitable for data centre links, server-to-switch connections and other short to medium distance high-bandwidth links.

Advantages

This active optical cable offers high bandwidth capacity with low latency and predictable performance. Its integrated optical transceivers reduce component count and simplify installation compared with separate transceivers and patch cords. The 25 m length provides flexible routing options within racks and across equipment rows while maintaining signal integrity. The male-to-male SFP+ interface ensures compatibility with equipment that accepts SFP+ modules and supports hot-swapping for minimal disruption during maintenance.

Suitable for

• Data centre top-of-rack and middle-of-row interconnects
• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch 10 Gbps links
• High-performance computing clusters using InfiniBand
• Short- to medium-distance fibre backbone connections within buildings

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ male to SFP+ male
• Length: 25 metres
• Interface standard: InfiniBand and 10 Gigabit Ethernet compatible
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Performance: Designed for low attenuation and low latency for high-bandwidth applications
• Usage environment: Indoor data centre and networking rack deployment

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on networking devices or servers until the connector latches. Ensure both ends are compatible with SFP+ ports and that the devices are powered down or that hot-swap procedures for your equipment are followed if connecting live. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended by the equipment vendor. Verify link status and speed through device management interfaces after connection.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-25M-CP-BO in temperature-controlled indoor environments typical of data centres. Avoid exposure to moisture and direct sunlight. Check device compatibility lists if vendor-specific link negotiation or firmware requirements apply, and follow proper ESD handling when installing or removing the cable.
