BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-25M-NV-BO InfiniBand/kuitu-kaapeli SFP+ 25m uros/uros

The BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-25M-NV-BO InfiniBand/fibre optic cable SFP+ 25m Male/Male is a 25-metre active optical cable designed for high-speed 10Gbps connectivity between compatible SFP+ ports. With SFP+ connectors on both ends and a male-to-male configuration, the cable provides a single-cable solution for short to medium reach interconnects in data centres and enterprise networks. Its optical construction reduces electromagnetic interference and supports reliable data transfer for switch-to-switch, server-to-switch and other rack-level connections.

Advantages

This 25m SFP+ active optical cable delivers 10Gbps bandwidth over a lightweight, flexible fiber assembly that reduces cable bulk in dense racks. The SFP+ male connectors ensure plug-and-play compatibility with devices that accept SFP+ modules, while the optical link offers immunity to electrical noise and improved heat characteristics compared with equivalent copper assemblies. The cable supports stable signal integrity over the specified distance, simplifying cabling between adjacent racks or within rows.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting network switches in data centre racks
• Connecting servers to top-of-rack or end-of-row switches
• High-speed links for storage systems and compute clusters
• Environments requiring low electromagnetic interference cabling

Key specifications

• Length: 25 metres
• Connector type: SFP+ male to SFP+ male
• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Transmission medium: active optical cable (fiber)
• Typical use: short to medium reach interconnects (rack/row)
• Immunity: resistant to electromagnetic interference

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on networking equipment until the latch engages. Ensure that both ends are seated properly and that ports are powered; devices will typically detect the active optical cable automatically. Route the cable through rack channels or cable management to avoid sharp bends and to maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Monitor link status on connected devices to confirm a stable 10Gbps connection.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid tight bends and excessive tension on the cable, keep connectors clean and protected when not in use, and use proper cable management within racks to prevent strain. Confirm device compatibility with SFP+ active optical cables and verify port settings when deploying in InfiniBand or Ethernet environments.
