SFP+ AOC CBO SFP-AOC-10G-3M 10G aktiivinen optinen kaapeli, 3 m

The BlueOptics SFP+ AOC CBO SFP-AOC-10G-3M is an active optical cable that delivers a 10 Gbps SFP+ connection over a 3-metre optical link. Designed for direct device-to-device links in data centers, server rooms and network racks, this hot-pluggable SFP+ module provides a low-latency, low-interference alternative to copper twinax. The integrated optical transceivers and pre-terminated cable simplify installation and reduce the need for separate transceivers and fiber patch cords.

Advantages

The 3 m active optical cable offers consistent 10 Gbps throughput with reduced electromagnetic interference and improved signal integrity compared with copper alternatives. Its SFP+ form factor supports hot-plug installation for rapid deployment and maintenance. The pre-assembled AOC design eliminates field termination and fiber management for shorter link distances, while the optical medium reduces weight and improves airflow in dense rack environments.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch connections in data centers
• High-performance storage area network (SAN) links
• Top-of-rack (ToR) and end-of-row (EoR) network cabling
• Short-reach interconnects where low latency and low EMI are required

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gbps (SFP+ compatible)
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC), pre-terminated
• Connector/form factor: SFP+ on both ends, hot-pluggable
• Length: 3 metres
• Typical latency: low, suitable for latency-sensitive applications
• EMI immunity: optical transmission eliminates common-mode electromagnetic interference present in copper
• Power: powered through SFP+ host ports (no separate power supply required)

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into compatible SFP+ ports on the network devices until the connector latches. No additional transceivers or patch cables are required because the cable is pre-terminated and active. Ensure the host ports support SFP+ AOC modules and that any vendor compatibility or firmware policies are met. Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid tight bends in the optical cable to maintain performance. When replacing or removing the cable, unlatch the connector and pull straight out to avoid damaging the port.

Recommendations

Use this 3 m SFP+ AOC for short-reach connections inside racks and between adjacent racks. Verify device compatibility before deployment, maintain minimum bend radius recommendations, and avoid exposure to mechanical stress or sharp edges to ensure reliable optical performance.
