BlueOptics SFP28 25GBASE-SR Ethernet / InfiniBand aktiivinen optinen kaapeli, 7 m

The Active Optical Cable BlueOptics SFP28 25GBASE-SR Ethernet / InfiniBand, 7m is a factory-terminated duplex optical link designed for short-range 25 Gbps connectivity. The cable integrates SFP28 transceiver housings at both ends, providing a compact, plug-and-play connection between switches, servers and storage systems. With a 7-meter length and multimode fiber construction, this AOC delivers low-latency signal transmission and inherent immunity to electromagnetic interference, suitable for densely cabled data center environments.

Advantages

This BlueOptics SFP28 AOC combines the low power consumption and form factor of SFP28 modules with the signal integrity and extended reach of multimode fiber. The pre-terminated design reduces installation time and eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cords. As an active optical assembly it offers stable 25GBASE-SR performance for Ethernet and InfiniBand links, keeping latency low and maintaining reliable throughput in short-reach applications.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics SFP28 AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into the matching SFP28 port on the network devices until the module latches. Confirm link status on the connected devices and verify 25G link negotiation in the device management interface. No separate transceivers or fiber patch cords are required; the assembly is ready to use out of the box. Handle the cable by the connectors and avoid tight bends near the connector boots to maintain optimal optical performance.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the AOC within recommended bend radius limits and in ambient conditions specified by your equipment vendor. Verify device compatibility for SFP28 AOCs and confirm firmware or BIOS settings if link negotiation does not occur automatically. For structured cabling, route the 7m assembly to avoid sharp edges and secure it to prevent strain on connector housings.
