BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-CI-BO SFP28 aktiivinen optinen kaapeli, 25 m, minttu, uros–uros

BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-CI-BO is an active optical cable with SFP28 connectors on both ends, designed for 25 m short-reach high-speed links. The mint-coloured, lightweight cable provides an integrated transmitter and receiver in each connector to carry optical signals over multimode fiber for low-latency server, switch and storage interconnects that require up to 25 Gbit/s performance.

Advantages

This Active Optical Cable (AOC) simplifies high-density data centre cabling by combining transceiver functionality and fiber into a single pre-terminated assembly, eliminating separate transceivers and patch cords. The 25 m length supports flexible rack-to-rack and equipment-to-equipment connections while the SFP28 male-to-male interfaces ensure compatibility with devices that accept SFP28 modules. The lightweight construction reduces strain on ports and makes cable management easier in congested racks.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 25G Ethernet interconnects between switches and servers
• Storage area network links and storage-to-switch connections
• High-bandwidth links in campus or data centre rack rows
• Low-latency connections for virtualization and clustered systems

Key specifications

• Cable length: 25 m
• Connector type: SFP28 to SFP28 (male–male)
• Supported data rate: up to 25 Gbit/s
• Optical medium: multimode fiber with integrated active transceivers
• Product weight: 0.15 kg
• Product colour: mint

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP28 end into compatible SFP28 ports on host devices while the devices are powered as per vendor guidelines. Ensure both ends are fully seated and latched in the module bay. Verify link status on connected equipment and check for any vendor-specific configuration or compatibility requirements before placing the cable into service. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain recommended bend radius for multimode fiber.

Recommendations

Use the BlueOptics SFP28 AOC for short-reach connections within the same room or adjacent racks. Confirm compatibility with your switch, router or storage platform and follow hardware vendor guidance for supported third-party AOCs. Avoid exceeding the manufacturer’s recommended bend radius and protect connector ends from contamination when not in use.
