BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-MA-BO SFP28 aktiivinen optinen kaapeli, 25 m, uros/uros, mintunvärinen

BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-MA-BO is an Active Optical Cable (AOC) with SFP28 male connectors on both ends and a 25 m mint-coloured jacket. Designed for short-reach, high-speed links, this SFP28-to-SFP28 cable supports 25 Gbit/s signalling over multimode optical paths and is lightweight at approximately 0.15 kg, making it suitable for dense cable routing in racks and data centre environments.

Advantages

The cable combines an integrated transmitter and receiver in the SFP28 modules at each end to provide a compact, energy-efficient optical connection that meets SFP28 form-factor expectations. The mint-coloured jacket enables fast visual identification in cable bundles and the low weight helps reduce mechanical strain on ports and patch panels. Being an active optical assembly, it eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch fibre while supporting standard 25G signalling.

Suitable for

• High-speed server-to-switch connections within racks
• Switch-to-switch links in short data centre interconnects
• Storage systems and direct-attached network links requiring 25G bandwidth

Key specifications

• Cable length: 25 m
• Connectors: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Nominal data rate: 25 Gbit/s
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with integrated optical transmitter and receiver
• Weight: 0.15 kg (approx.)
• Jacket colour: Mint

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP28 connector into compatible SFP28 host ports until fully seated and the latch engages. Ensure both connected devices support 25G SFP28 AOC links and that link settings (speed and auto-negotiation) match on both ends. Route the 25 m cable through rack pathways avoiding sharp bends and excessive compression; the mint jacket aids identification when tracing connections. No separate transceivers or patch fibre are required because the optical modules are integrated into the cable ends.

Recommendations

Confirm device compatibility with SFP28 AOC modules and verify that firmware or vendor restrictions do not prevent third-party AOC operation. Maintain minimum bend radius and avoid tight kinks; keep the cable away from heat sources and sharp edges. For critical links, verify connectivity and performance with a test link before final deployment.
