BlueOptics SFP28 InfiniBand-/kuituoptinen kaapeli – 25 m, uros-uros, aqua/musta

BlueOptics InfiniBand / fibre optic cable SFP28 — 25 m, male-to-male, aqua/black is a 25-metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 connectors on both ends. It is designed for high-speed server, switch and storage interconnects in data centres and rack-to-rack links. The cable uses multimode optical transmission and integrates transceivers at each end to support up to 25 Gbit/s over the 25 m length while maintaining a compact, lightweight physical profile and an aqua/black jacket.

Advantages

The cable provides a low-latency optical link that is immune to electromagnetic interference, suitable for dense rack environments where reliable high-throughput connections are required. As an SFP28-to-SFP28 active optical cable, it eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, reducing installation effort and connector attenuation. The pre-assembled AOC format offers consistent optical performance and simplifies maintenance and cabling management in server rooms and network racks.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics SFP28 AOC by inserting each SFP28 end directly into compatible SFP28 ports on switches, servers or storage devices while the equipment is powered off or according to the hardware vendor's hot-plug guidance. Ensure connectors are aligned and fully seated until the latch clicks. Verify link status and speed on the connected devices, and check whether the host hardware supports SFP28 AOC modules and the intended 25 Gbit/s operation.

Recommendations

Check vendor compatibility and, if required, enable or verify any device firmware or port settings for Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM/DOM) support. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; adhere to the manufacturer's minimum bend radius for multimode AOCs. For clean connections and reliable operation, keep connector dust caps until installation and avoid unnecessary disconnect/reconnect cycles.
