BlueOptics SFPP-AOC-2M-BO InfiniBand/kuitu kaapeli SFP+ 2m uros/uros

The BlueOptics SFPP-AOC-2M-BO is a 2-meter active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ male connectors on both ends, designed for InfiniBand and fibre optic networking. It supports high-speed optical data transmission over multi-mode fiber and follows common SFP+ form-factor and MSA practices for plug-and-play connectivity in data center and high-performance computing environments. The pre-assembled AOC removes the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, providing a compact, low-latency link for short-reach interconnects.

Advantages

The cable integrates a transmitter and receiver in each SFP+ module, enabling full-duplex optical transmission without separate optical transceivers. As an active optical cable, it minimizes electromagnetic interference and eliminates copper cabling constraints while offering the convenience of a single, factory-terminated solution. The 2 m length is suitable for rack-to-rack or intra-rack connections and the SFP+ to SFP+ interface maintains compatibility with devices that accept SFP+ AOCs.

How to use

Insert each SFP+ module into the SFP+ port of the devices to be connected, ensuring the module is fully seated and the port latches engage. Ensure both devices support SFP+ optical modules or AOCs and power on the equipment. The link should establish automatically if the hardware supports SFP+ AOC modules and matching transceiver functionality. For monitoring features such as digital diagnostics, enable or check the host device's support for DDM/DOM if required.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by the module housings and avoid tight bends near the connectors; follow device vendor guidance for SFP+ module insertion and removal. Verify compatibility with your equipment's SFP+ port and, if necessary, consult device documentation to confirm support for active optical cables and digital diagnostics functions.
