How to use

Power down the host port or follow hot-swap procedures recommended by the equipment vendor, then insert the SFP+ transceiver into the SFP+ slot until it latches. Connect the appropriate fibre optic cable to the transceiver connector, observing transmit/receive orientation. After installation, verify link status in the host device management interface and confirm speed negotiation at 10 Gbit/s. Follow vendor-specific firmware or compatibility notes if any link issues occur.

Recommendations

Use compatible single-mode or multimode fibre and matching connectors as specified by your network design. Keep the optical ports capped when not in use to prevent contamination, and handle the module by its housing to avoid electrostatic or mechanical damage. Check vendor compatibility lists for the host device to ensure full support of the SFP+ module.
