BlueOptics XXVAOCBL2M-BO InfiniBand-kuituvalokaapeli 2 m SFP28 aqua

The BlueOptics XXVAOCBL2M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 2 m SFP28 Aqua is a 2 metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 to SFP28 connectors designed for high-speed short-reach links. It supports 25G data rates over multimode fiber and provides a pre-assembled plug-and-play connection intended for use in switches, routers, storage systems and other networking hardware that accept SFP28 AOCs. The cable is manufactured to MSA-compatible dimensions and supports simultaneous transmit and receive optical signalling via integrated transceivers.

Advantages

This SFP28 AOC offers a compact, fully assembled optical connection that eliminates the need for separate fiber patch cords and connectors. Being an active optical cable, it integrates laser-based transmitters and receivers on both ends to maintain signal integrity across the 2 m link and reduce electromagnetic interference. The BlueOptics implementation is built using industry-grade components and is tested for interoperability with major hardware platforms supporting the equivalent 25GBASE-SR4 SFP28 AOC standard.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 25G network interconnects in data centres
• Direct connections between SFP28 ports on switches, routers and storage arrays
• Low-latency clustering and InfiniBand-style high-throughput links

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with SFP28 to SFP28 connectors
• Length: 2 metres
• Nominal data rate: up to 25 Gbps per channel (25GBASE-SR4 applications)
• Fiber type: multimode, factory-assembled
• Connector colour: aqua (typical for 25G multimode optics)
• Digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM/DOM): supported where host hardware provides access

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your devices until it latches. Ensure both devices support SFP28 AOCs and, if you require diagnostics, verify that the host hardware exposes DDM/DOM information. Use the cable for direct device-to-device optical links; no separate patch panels or fibre termination are required. Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid tight bends to maintain optical performance.

Recommendations

Confirm compatibility with the target hardware platform and check that the device firmware or software supports third‑party SFP28 AOCs if diagnostic features are required. Avoid bending the cable below the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius and keep connector endfaces free of dust. For best results in data centre environments, route the cable with strain relief and maintain separation from sources of mechanical stress.
