BOSCH peltisakset 500W GSC 2.8

Roofers and facade installers cutting through corrugated steel on a windy jobsite need a tool that tracks cleanly without jamming. The BOSCH GSC 2.8 sheet metal shears deliver exactly that: a 500-watt motor driving a fixed blade system that slices up to 2.8 mm in 400 N/mm² steel, 1.6 mm in 600 N/mm², and 1.2 mm in 800 N/mm². Aluminium up to 3.5 mm is no obstacle. With 2,400 strokes per minute at no load and 1,500 under load, it powers through straight cuts and tight curves down to a 15 mm radius. The double-insulated body and 2.65-metre cable let you move freely around the workpiece, while the 80 dB(A) sound pressure level keeps the job bearable. At just 10 m/s² vibration, your hands stay fresher through a full shift.

Why choose it

The GSC 2.8 is built for professionals who need reliable, burr-free cuts in thin sheet metal without distortion. Its fixed blade system ensures consistent performance over time, and the double insulation adds a layer of safety on site. The high stroke rate and small curve radius make it versatile for both straight runs and intricate shapes.

Ideal use cases

• Cutting corrugated roofing and cladding panels
• Trimming sheet metal for HVAC ductwork
• Shaping aluminium profiles for signage or trim
• Precision cutting in automotive body repair
• Creating curved cuts in metal art or architectural details

Good to know

The tool is designed for corded operation, so you never run out of battery mid-cut. It comes with a 2.65-metre cable for extended reach. The vibration level of 10 m/s² is moderate; use anti-vibration gloves for extended use. Always wear hearing protection due to the 80 dB(A) sound pressure level. The fixed blade system requires occasional sharpening or replacement, but it provides a clean, straight cut every time.
