Paper Feeding Kit Brother LY5384001 – feeding mechanism replacement kit is an original Brother replacement kit designed to restore paper feed performance in compatible Brother printers. The kit replaces worn feed rollers and associated components that control sheet pickup and transport. Installing the genuine kit helps reduce paper misfeeds and jams, improves paper handling consistency, and extends the service life of the printer when used as part of regular maintenance or when feed issues appear.

Advantages

The replacement kit uses manufacturer-specified materials and dimensions to match original feed roller traction and alignment, which preserves reliable sheet pickup and reduces the risk of repeated feed errors. By replacing multiple wear parts simultaneously, the kit provides a coordinated refresh of the feeding mechanism and minimizes the need for frequent adjustments. Using an original Brother kit maintains compatibility with printer sensors and mechanical tolerances to ensure predictable operation and accurate paper transport.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Routine maintenance to restore feed performance and prevent downtime
• Troubleshooting persistent misfeeds, double feeds or paper jams
• Preparing printers for high-volume print jobs to ensure consistent handling
• Refurbishment of used or heavily used machines to return them to manufacturer specifications

Key specifications

• Compatibility: Genuine Brother replacement kit for specified Brother printer models (refer to printer documentation for exact fit)
• Components included: set of feed rollers and associated feeding components designed to work together
• Function: restores paper pickup traction and sheet transport accuracy
• Material characteristics: engineered elastomer surfaces for consistent friction and wear resistance
• Intended use: maintenance replacement for paper feeding mechanism

How to use

Turn off the printer and disconnect power before beginning service. Access the paper feed assembly following the printer's service or user manual instructions, remove the old feed rollers and related parts, and install the replacement components from the kit in the same positions. Ensure rollers are seated and aligned according to the manufacturer's alignment marks or guides, then reassemble the printer and reconnect power. After installation, run a few test pages using typical media to verify correct pickup, alignment and jam-free operation.

Recommendations

Perform replacement as part of scheduled maintenance intervals or when feed-related errors become frequent. Use recommended paper types and correct loading procedures to maximize the lifespan of the new feed components. If feed problems persist after replacement, follow printer diagnostics in the service guide or consult an authorized service provider.
