CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q3M aktiivinen optinen kaapeli, 3 m pituus, SFP28

The CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q3M active optical cable is a 3 m, fixed-length SFP28 solution designed for 25 Gbps links between switches, servers and network interface cards that support SFP28 ports. As an active optical cable, it integrates the optical transceivers and fiber in a single assembly, eliminating the need for separate pluggable modules and short copper patch cords. The product is intended for short-reach high-speed interconnects where reduced power consumption, low latency and compact cable routing are required.

Advantages

This active optical cable offers 25 Gbps full-duplex data rate over a 3 m link with low insertion loss and controlled latency, suitable for top-of-rack and server-to-switch connections. Its integrated design reduces the number of field-replaceable modules and simplifies cabling management, while the optical medium reduces electromagnetic interference and power usage compared with equivalent copper solutions. The fixed-length assembly provides predictable signal characteristics and a compact form factor compatible with standard SFP28 ports.

Suitable for

• 25 Gbps interconnects between switches in data center racks
• Server-to-switch connections in high-density deployments
• Connections between NICs and top-of-rack or spine switches supporting SFP28
• Short-reach links where low latency and reduced power consumption are priorities

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP28 active optical cable with integrated transceiver
• Rated data rate: 25 Gbps per link (full duplex)
• Cable length: 3 meters, fixed assembly
• Connector type: SFP28 compatible duplex optical interface
• Transmission medium: multimode optical AOC with active electronics
• Typical use: short-reach intra-rack and inter-rack links
• Signal characteristics: low latency, low insertion loss designed for short distances

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the two devices to be linked, ensuring the latch engages and the module is fully seated. No separate transceiver modules or fiber patch cords are required. Verify link status and speed through the connected devices' management interface; the cable should auto-negotiate at 25 Gbps when both ends support SFP28 operation. For removal, release the connector latch and extract the plug straight out to avoid bending the assembly.

Recommendations

Install and route the cable to avoid tight bends and kinks; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius to preserve signal integrity. Use this AOC in environments where both ends support SFP28 and where a fixed 3 m length is appropriate. For troubleshooting, check port compatibility and firmware platform support if link training does not establish at the expected rate.
