Contour Design Active Key AK-4100 näppäimistö Office PS/2 QWERTZ saksa musta

The Active Key AK-4100-U is a compact, high-reliability notebook-style keyboard designed for office and space-critical environments. It features scissors-balancing key technology for improved off-center actuation and a soft tactile feel, full-size 19.05 mm keycaps, and a low 25 mm profile suitable for rack installations, kiosks, servers and other constrained workspaces. The keyboard offers full desktop functionality in a tenkeyless form factor with a PS/2 connection and a 1.8 m cable.

Advantages

Scissors balancing key technology provides consistent, quiet key actuation with improved performance on off-center presses. Full-size keycaps deliver a familiar typing surface despite the compact footprint, while the low-profile design allows installation in shallow or crowded environments. The wired PS/2 interface ensures stable connectivity for legacy systems and industrial setups.

Suitable for

• Office workstations using PS/2 interfaces
• Rack-mounted consoles and server rooms
• Kiosks, point-of-sale terminals and industrial workstations
• Users who prefer a tenkeyless QWERTZ German layout

How to use

Connect the keyboard to a PS/2 port on your computer or compatible terminal using the attached 1.8 m cable. Position the keyboard on a flat surface or mount it in a shallow console or rack area as required. The tenkeyless layout preserves main typing keys while saving space; use it the same way as a standard desktop keyboard. No additional drivers are normally required for basic operation on systems that support PS/2 keyboards.

Recommendations

For optimal reliability in server rooms and industrial environments, keep the keyboard free of dust and avoid exposure to liquids. Use with devices that provide PS/2 support; for modern systems without PS/2 ports, consider using a compatible PS/2-to-USB adapter only if the host supports PS/2 emulation.
