The CHERRY KW 7100 MINI BT is a compact Bluetooth® wireless keyboard designed for mobile and space‑conscious use. It supports connection to up to three devices simultaneously via Bluetooth® 5.1 and is supplied with a recycled-plastic carry case for convenient storage and transport. The keyboard uses CHERRY SX scissor switches for quiet, precise typing and has a laptop-like slightly concave key shape. It is compatible with most Bluetooth®-enabled devices, including desktop PCs, notebooks and tablets, with supported operating systems including Windows, and Android™ and Chrome OS with some restrictions.

Advantages

The KW 7100 MINI BT offers multi-device operation with easy switching between three Bluetooth® channels using the F1–F3 keys. Its compact, ultra-slim design saves desk space and can improve mouse/arm positioning for better shoulder posture. Quiet CHERRY SX scissor switches provide a comfortable, laptop-style typing experience. Special functions such as multimedia controls, image adjustment and volume are accessed via the FN key, which can be locked for continuous use. Integrated status LEDs indicate FN‑Lock, Caps Lock and the active Bluetooth® channel. The keyboard ships in plastic-free packaging and includes a carry case made from recycled plastic.

Key specifications

Connection: Bluetooth® 5.1, up to three devices (F1–F3 switching)
Switch type: CHERRY SX scissor mechanism
Compatibility: Desktop PCs, notebooks, tablets; Windows; Android™ and Chrome OS (with some restrictions)
Special keys: FN key with lock, multimedia and system functions
Indicators: LEDs for FN‑Lock, Caps Lock and active Bluetooth® channel
Dimensions: ultra‑slim, compact form factor
Packaging: completely plastic‑free; carry case made of recycled plastic included

How to use

Turn on Bluetooth® on the device you want to pair and wake the keyboard. Use the F1–F3 keys to select an empty Bluetooth® channel and follow the pairing procedure on your device. Once paired, switch between connected devices by pressing F1, F2 or F3. Use the FN key to access multimedia, volume and display adjustment functions; press FN again to lock those functions if permanent use is needed. The integrated LEDs show the active channel and lock states. Store the keyboard in the supplied carry case for transport.

Recommendations

The CHERRY KW 7100 MINI BT is suitable for users who need a compact, portable keyboard with multi‑device Bluetooth® support and quiet scissor switches. For full compatibility, verify OS restrictions for Android™ and Chrome OS on your device and download the free CHERRY KEYS software to customize key functions if required.

trustedreviews.comJosh2024-07-05

8/10

Loppuarvio: Entirely uninteresting in its design, the Cherry KW 7100 Mini BT for Mac is still a very respectable, comfortable wireless keyboard that won't break the bank. PROS

Plussat

Scissor switches have a satisfying bounce
Metal backplate keeps flex low
Multi-device support is appreciated

Miinukset

Not the cheapest travel keyboard out there
Doesn't look particularly premium
