DC/DC-muunnin Victron Energy Orion 12/24V 20A ei eristetty IP20

The Victron Energy Orion 12/24V 20A Non-isolated DC/DC converter is a compact power module that converts and regulates DC voltage between 12V and 24V systems. It is designed to provide a stable 20A output for auxiliary loads and battery systems, suitable for installation inside vehicles, boats, or protected panels where an IP20 enclosure is acceptable. The unit supports reliable power transfer for electronics that require a consistent supply when stepping between 12V and 24V networks.

Advantages

This non-isolated converter offers efficient voltage conversion with regulated output to protect connected electronics and batteries. Its compact form factor allows straightforward mounting in confined spaces or equipment cabinets, and the fixed 20A output simplifies system design for common auxiliary loads. The IP20-rated enclosure is suitable for indoor or protected-panel installations, providing a practical balance between performance and installation flexibility.

Suitable for

When it may not be suitable

This unit is non-isolated, so it is not appropriate where galvanic isolation is required for safety, noise suppression, or preventing ground loops. The IP20 enclosure means it should not be used in exposed outdoor locations or unprotected wet environments without additional protective housings or enclosures.

Key specifications

How to use

Mount the converter inside a protected enclosure or on a suitable panel where ventilation and wiring access are available. Connect the input to the source battery or power bus (12V or 24V) and the output to the target battery or load, observing correct polarity. Ensure appropriate fuse protection is fitted on the input and output lines according to cable and load current ratings. Verify connections and test output voltage under light load before connecting sensitive electronics.

What to consider before purchase

Recommendations

For reliable operation, install the converter in a dry, ventilated location inside the vehicle or equipment cabinet, use correct gauge cabling and fuses, and avoid applications that require electrical isolation. Regularly inspect connections and mounting to maintain secure and safe operation.
