This fibre optic sensor cable set from Delock is used in conjunction with a compatible fibre optic sensor amplifier to build a thru-beam photoelectric sensor. The set consists of two separate POF optical fibres, each with a stainless steel sensor head and an open fibre end. The sensor head has an M3 x 0.5 mm external thread for mounting.

• Thru-beam – object detection by light beam interruption

The two sensor heads are mounted opposite each other as transmitter and receiver. If the light beam is interrupted by an object, the connected sensor amplifier can detect this and output a corresponding switching signal. The sensor cable set is suitable, for example, for applications in automation technology, mechanical engineering or position control.
