This USB 2.0 to RS-232 adapter by DeLOCK connects a computer USB Type-A port to devices with an RS-232 console using an RJ-45 serial plug. The cable is 2 m long and comes in blue, providing a practical connection option for network equipment and other devices with serial console ports.

Advantages

The DeLOCK adapter provides a simple USB 2.0 to RS-232 conversion without requiring an additional serial port on the PC or laptop. With a 2 m cable and standard RJ-45 and USB Type-A connectors, it offers flexibility in workstation layout and straightforward compatibility with many routers, switches and access points. The cable colour and length make it easy to route and identify in equipment racks or on a desk.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs or laptops to Cisco and other vendor consoles via RJ-45 serial ports
• Accessing router, switch or access point command-line interfaces for configuration and troubleshooting
• Serial communication where no native RS-232 port is available on the computer
