Suojakotelosarja EQ6/NEQ6/PRO EQ6-R kaukoputkille (OEM, malli DO-6927)

Protective mount cover set for EQ6, NEQ6 and PRO EQ6-R series mounts. This OEM-compatible set is designed to shield the mount head and counterweight shaft from dust, moisture and stray light during storage and transport. The covers provide a quick-fit solution that helps maintain mechanical parts and finish, reducing the need for frequent cleaning and minimizing the risk of corrosion or contamination.

Advantages

The set offers tailored fit to the geometry of EQ6-family mounts, allowing fast installation and removal without tools. Constructed from durable, lightweight materials, the covers protect sensitive components while adding minimal bulk for transportation. Their design supports airflow to avoid trapped moisture and allows access to key controls without complete disassembly.

Suitable for

• Amateur astronomers storing mounts between observing sessions
• Advanced users transporting EQ6-family mounts to observing sites
• Workshops and service technicians protecting mounts during maintenance
• Long-term storage to reduce dust accumulation and surface wear

Key specifications

• Compatibility: EQ6, NEQ6 and PRO EQ6-R series equatorial mounts
• Coverage: mount head and counterweight shaft protection
• Material properties: lightweight, tear-resistant fabric with protective coating
• Fastening: quick-fit design for tool-free installation and removal
• Storage: compact when folded for transport and storage

How to use

Position the larger cover over the mount head so that it fully encloses the dovetail and motor housings, then fit the counterweight-shaft cover over the shaft ensuring a snug fit. Adjust the covers for clearance around adjustment knobs and cable outlets to avoid pinching. Remove the covers before powering the mount or performing observations; reapply after cleaning or when preparing the mount for transport or storage.

Recommendations

Store the covers dry and folded when not in use. Clean the covers with a soft brush or damp cloth; avoid solvents or abrasive cleaners. Inspect periodically for wear and replace if protective coating deteriorates to maintain effective dust and moisture protection.
