DIGITUS verkkokaapeli - CAT6 - S/FTP - Rastnasenschutz - Cu - 5m - harmaa

The DIGITUS Network Cable CAT 6 S/FTP (5 m) in grey is a Category 6 patch cord designed for structured cabling environments. It features copper conductors, S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference, and RJ-45 connectors on both ends. The cable is PoE+ ready and complies with ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 Category 6 specifications, with performance tested up to 250 MHz.

Advantages

This CAT 6 S/FTP patch cord uses a LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) sheath for improved fire behaviour and minimal smoke emissions. The transparent red colored plug allows fast visual identification of Category 6 cables. Molded boots provide kink protection, strain relief and latch protection to prevent the latching lever from breaking. The cable construction and shielding deliver reliable data transmission and reduced crosstalk for applications up to 250 MHz.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet connections in home and office networks
• PoE and PoE+ powered devices (IP phones, wireless access points, cameras)
• Structured cabling installations requiring ISO/EN Category 6 compliance

How to use

Connect each RJ-45 connector to the corresponding network ports on your devices or patch panels. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch engages. Avoid tight bends near the connector boots and maintain the recommended bend radius to preserve signal quality. For installations, route the cable following local installation standards and separate it from strong electrical interference sources where possible.

Recommendations

Use this DIGITUS CAT 6 S/FTP cable for horizontal and patch cabling where Category 6 performance up to 250 MHz is required. Choose LSZH-sheathed cables in indoor environments or buildings with fire-safety regulations that specify low-smoke, halogen-free materials.
