DIGITUS verkkokaapeli - CAT6 - S/FTP - Snagless - Cu - 5 m - vihreä

The Digitus CAT 6 S/FTP RJ-45 patch cord, 5 m, provides future-oriented standards and high-end quality for network installations. It features an S/FTP shielded construction with copper conductors and a low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) sheath for improved fire behaviour and reduced smoke emissions. The transparent red coloured plug with metal shielding identifies Category 6 (250 MHz) performance and the cable is PoE+ ready.

Advantages

Manufactured and tested to ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 Category 6 specifications, this Digitus patch cord ensures compliance with ISO & EN channel requirements and delivers performance tested up to 250 MHz, including near-end crosstalk (NEXT). The molded boot includes kink protection, strain relief and a latch protection to prevent damage to the latching lever. The cable uses copper conductors for reliable signal transmission.

Suitable for

• Structured LAN cabling in offices and data centres
• Connecting switches, routers and patch panels
• Power over Ethernet (PoE/PoE+) deployments
• Workplace and home network connections requiring Category 6 performance

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connector into the corresponding port on your network device until the latch clicks into place. Use the molded boot to reduce strain on the connector and avoid sharp bends near the ends to maintain signal integrity. Ensure both ends are fully seated and secure before powering devices or enabling PoE features.

Recommendations

For best results, route the cable away from strong electromagnetic sources and avoid tight bundles with power cables. Use within structured cabling channels that match Cat 6 performance to preserve the tested 250 MHz characteristics.
